@bymakall: I chose makeup as a career because it was one of the first things that ever made me feel powerful, creative, and fully myself. What started as something I loved doing turned into something that gave me real purpose, and now it’s something I get to share with other women every single day. People usually only see the glam, the finished look, the photos, the transformations. What they don’t always see is how much this career can impact people in ways that go way beyond beauty. Choosing this path was not the typical route, and it definitely was not the safest choice, but it was mine. And I would make it again every single time. If you feel called toward beauty, artistry, or anything creative, pay attention to that. There is a reason certain things keep pulling at you. Passion is not random. The things that excite you most are often pointing you toward where you’re supposed to go. I chose makeup, but what I really chose was a life built around connection, creativity, and helping other women feel their absolute best. And if I can help someone else feel more confident in themselves, or more certain about the direction they want to take in life, then I know I chose the right career.
