I felt my weakness, humbled in the presence of ancient dominance. I was small. But this... this was apex. Being so close to this raw moment was transformational. Personal. Yet these moments touch other lives. A life was lost so that another can continue. It is the way of things, though the world seems less when some magic is gone.
