to those who agree with him, no one is denying that appearance, discipline, and self-care matter. the issue is how you turn that into a universal rule and start measuring self-love based on body size alone. that’s where it becomes misleading. you’re focusing on one visible outcome and assuming it reflects everything behind it, when in reality bodies are influenced by more than just discipline, like biology, hormones, mental health, and different life situations. reducing it to “if you look like this, then you lack self-love” ignores all of that. self-improvement and self-love are not opposites, and they don’t have one fixed look. someone can be improving while still respecting themselves, just as someone can look “fit” and still have unhealthy habits. so yes, take care of yourself, build discipline, improve where you can, but don’t turn that into a standard that judges people’s self-love based on appearance alone. that’s not honesty, that’s oversimplification.
