I almost finished all the Duolingo Japanese after 5 years, took a 2 years break in-between 😂 I'm gonna medium speed run the Duolingo French, German, Spanish, and Korean till the end, and it should take me till the end of 2027. I don't recommend serious language learners to use Duolingo but it is fun if you use it as if you were casually playing candy crush to kill time

Duolingo won't make you learn a language. It can help with vocabulary but just Duolingo,no. It doesn't teach the whole grammar system. I learn french in school and through Duolingo I learned more vocabs which makes me better in school.

vietnamese is really hard to pronounce, so that might be the issue, because duolingo doesn’t offer that much information on the vietnamese pronounciation
