I agree with you 1000%! as a Chilean girl, who lived 6 years in Australia... I went to Scotland in 2023 and absolutely fell in love... there was something in me that said: "you have to live there one day". Like you said, it's a feeling... which is why Im moving there next week!!😃

Love this! This is me with Ireland. My family are there, all my childhood memories are there and I got to go to school for a couple of weeks as a kid because my mum wanted a babysitter 😂 we would go for months at a time. There’s something in me always pulling me there. My kids are young, I can’t wait for them to experience it too 🥰

I have extensive Scottish ancestry & it’s such a surreal feeling when you arrive. It’s like you can feel the connection to your ancestors through the land. So weird seeing the castles & places they lived still standing- sometimes only partially 😂

I’m from Scotland originally and my parents moved us out to Aus when I was 12, at 29 I moved back to Glasgow and my parents are still out in Aus. I miss them terribly and wish every day they were here but as you said Scotland has a feeling, it’s the castles, the history, the lochs, the villages, the people. I’m lucky I’m dual citizen too and I can always go back if I wanted to, but Scotland has my heart in a way I don’t think Australia could ever.

I did my first gap year 20 years ago and chose Scotland over London. Ended up working in the George Hotel in Inveraray. Made some incredible memories and met some wonderful people and don’t regret that decision for a second. I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment that there’s just something about Scotland. It’s a magnetic force that makes you feel like a second home. If there was one other place I’d move to outside of Oz, it’d probably be Scotland 🏴
