I’m a big fan of yours mate, but this really looks like a simple data entry mistake — the rego inspector probably typed 270k instead of 170k. A car history report always notes that the km information entered can be incorrect. Like I said, huge fan, but calling this out feels a bit off when it’s clearly just an error.

I sold my old hilux that had 360,000 ish kms on it, the bloke who bought it off me changed the dash cluster out of it and sold it for 3k more than what I sold it for the next day.

won't happen in WA as we don't need yearly inspections, yes they still wind back kms but generally won't show online for that reason.
