fun fact : there was supposed to be a season 4 (the air chapter) where azula would have a redemption arc and that zuko could search for his mother, but the idea was thrown away so the creators could spend more time on the live action movie.

i like to headcanon that we’re watching atla from aang’s perspective. it’s so easy to forget how young he (and all of the main cast) really is. so azula for instance appears visually older than she is- because for a 12 year old, confronting a person like azula is understandably intimidating. whereas in tlok we see through korra’s perspective so tenzin’s children (even though they’re about the same age range as the og gang) appear more childlike because korra’s story takes place when she’s fully grown
