I did a school based when I first started as a sparky, it’s a great way to do it, school started feeling like days off and I was also learning heaps on the job site

I dropped out of school half way through yr10, ended up doing an apprenticeship many years later,wish I had done it sooner

I got told as a kid thag I could leave school as long as I had an apprenticeship to go to 16 years being a liney now after dropping out in year 11 woildnt look back

If he already has an apprenticeship lined up and has done electrical work before it's a good idea. If he doesn't have one lined up it can be a bad idea as most employers want apprentices that can drive a car and have completed a Certificate 2.
