I personally designed every storyboard frame and visual sequence from scratch, imagining Henry Cavill as Colonel Marcus Stone, a military commander who sees Kong as a weapon to be controlled, clashing with Tom Hiddleston's returning James Conrad, still haunted by the first expedition. Elle Fanning joins the MonsterVerse as Dr. Elena Shaw, a young Monarch scientist convinced Kong has been misjudged by the world. Morgan Freeman anchors the team as Dr. Victor Kane, the man who first decoded the pulsing signal coming from deep beneath the island.
