I imagine this song as Jesus viewed when he spoke to his disciples in Matthew chapter 28, verse 19 that new fresh feeling he must have felt when he finally saw humanity as new, with so many possibilities, dreams, and ideas. When he came back and fulfilled his promise and his purpose, he gave us more freedom and a new choice. We live our ur lives in the way that we want just like before his sacrifice but he also warns us of sin as if we are children learning for the first time what consequences mean. Which is why we get so many chances and then as we grow older, we realize how patient our parents were with us. You will always be a child of God. To choose him - I feel the line from this song “What a time to be free” is so poetic because if people are informed of the opportunity to choose it’s that constant feeling of being free.
