I still give neighbors sugar, eggs, vanilla and other things. you don't use instacart for that. or doordash.

I have found if you're a person who loves to give - if you never ask neither will they. That means you lose the opportunities to give. Sounds selfish but selfish in a healthy way.

Or you could send someone an Uber to the airport I'd rather do that. Also, whenever my friends are home sick with a flu or something I can send them groceries or soup from their favorite restaurant with Uber eats

My friends kids forgot their keys yesterday and she called me in a panic mid thunderstorm knowing I was leaving work to pick them up. I felt so freaking honored and excited to help.

I agree. Especially as a mom whose children are grown/growing up. My adult son asked me to go to the movies with him and I cried! They don’t understand how badly I want them to ask me to help!
