@bebalancedboutique: Working from home is flexible… but let’s not pretend it’s easy 😅 There’s this idea that WFH means: ✨ more free time ✨ less stress ✨ a slower pace And sometimes? Sure. But for a lot of corporate women, it actually looks like: - back-to-back meetings - constant notifications - pressure to always be available - and trying to prove you’re still productive Different environment… same expectations 💀 WFH didn’t remove the pressure — it just changed where it happens. Hi, I’m Kelsie — a stress wellness expert & career advancement specialist helping corporate women beat burnout and grow their careers with confidence 💅✨ Follow for real-life career growth & burnout support 💖 Save this if you’re tired of people thinking you “have it easy” working from home. #workfromhome #corporatelife #remotework #burnoutrecovery #careeradviceforwomen

I do watch Netflix during the day but only when I’m not on a call or meeting. I’m also not really watching it, it’s more so just background noise and I also did this in the office.

And not for nothing, some days I’m working harder than my in-office peers because I’m chained to my computer with no distractions or hallway conversations

I’m so glad someone finally said it. Just because there are people that get away with goofing off when they should be working doesn’t mean there aren’t those of us out here actually treating our WFH jobs like jobs.

Thank you! People always act like WFM jobs can’t be high stress, which is not true at all! Just because I WFH doesn’t mean I’m not working.

I WFH. Coffee breaks to the kitchen are still 5-10 minutes AFK. Lunch is still an hour. If my meeting schedule lines up I might be able to tend to a Smoker, crock pot or sous vide for dinner, but those all fit into the "5 minutes here and there". The biggest difference is the lack of a commute.

I work longer hours and so much harder at home. I feel like it’s expected that you go over and above because you have unlimited access to your work computer, emails, etc. - like no, you can’t just drop by in the middle of the day. I’m literally working.

I’m so much more productive at home than in the office. WFH is an extrovert’s worst nightmare and I hate it 😅

You may have the wrong remote job. I worked hard yesterday but also got all my laundry washed and folded and caught up on summer house and euphoria

Exactly. I’m at this desk from 8-4:30 M-F. Irritates me when people ask me to do shit at 2pm on a Wed bc I “work from home” and figured I could.

is not different than being in the office - there you stop for a coffee, talk to a colleague, appear busy. In reality you can't sustain more than 3 hours of intense work, and not even that every day, because you go bonkers

I've done both. The exhaustion from commuting and the open space noise... I'd rather be at home

I take less breaks working from home. You need distractions to remind you to step away

I do have a day here and there where I can chill, thankfully. But working in the office was the exact same thing. Most of my days are pretty packed but I hustle through it.

I literally sat at my desk today from 730am-4pm. I barely had time to get up and pee. Are there days I can wrap up earlier? Rarely

I am micro managed more working from home than when I worked in the office. They watch everything we do, even have a system that marks us down if we return from break or lunch late.
