Related to not listening…how would you get a 2.5yr old to stop screaming at the top of their lungs because they think it’s funny? It makes my baby cry and I can’t get my 2.5yr old to stop, and then I get upset. I try not to give it attention but that doesn’t help.

authoritative parenting still uses power over children but I'm hearing cooperation so I am somewhat confused as to what you mean by authority.... do you believe in any type of coercion, power over, as the parent? or do you believe in respecting children's consent fully?
