@ivorsacademy: The Ivors Academy presents The Ivors Composer Awards 2026 – a new, elevated and united celebration of excellence in British and Irish composing across all genres. Judged by composers for composers, the awards compositional excellence across live performances, commercial recordings, community engagement, film, television and video games. Since 1956, we have honoured the most accomplished composers by presenting Ivor Novello Awards. This ceremony builds on that legacy. Roberto Neri, CEO of The Ivors Academy, said: “We are broadening recognition to reflect the full breadth of contemporary composition. More original music will be eligible, including works heard by audiences for the first time across a wide range of forms and contexts, from stage to screen, games, streaming, radio, festivals, in communities and beyond.
