@thebookconcierge: "𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲, 𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙧 𝙊𝙣𝙚." This alone is enough to send me into a sobfest. I know there are many anime and books out there that are just as good as 86—Eighty-Six, but this one truly left its mark on me. I’m rewatching it yet again, ready for the emotional turmoil. This scene will always be my favorite. What a perfect way to end an anime and I really hope we get a Season 2! I’ve read up to Volume 10 of the light novel, and it’s so good; I highly recommend it. There’s still so much more to the story, and I truly hope it gets animated. I haven’t been able to continue reading the light novels yet because I’m approaching the final arc, and I’m not ready to say goodbye (at least not until I complete my physical LN collection). I’ve grown so attached to the characters especially the main leads, Shin and Lena. They still remind me of June and Day from Legend by Marie Lu. I always rate my books based on emotional resonance, and 86—Eighty-Six will always be one of those stories I keep coming back to.
