I live close to sequoia so I recommend drive before 7 am go to the tokopah falls trail first then Do the general Sherman and the congress trail and then go to the Moro rock because is less crowded and drive the tunnel log. On the way out stop at the hospital and see the pictographs

One reason I miss living in California. The amazing places in that state are breathtaking. Big Sur was another favorite place to spend time.

Is it too cold to camp there in October? I do car camping and not a tent, if that helps. I have a week off of school and will be on need of the forest!
