Every 3 months 😅 So I rinse mine inside daily and change it monthly and I’ve never seen mould.

I used my water flosser to squirt the water into all the crevices and that took out a lot/all of the mouldy residue and build up. Then you could potentially rinse it in vinegar water or spray with colloidal silver. But you would probably have to do this at least once a week to keep it at bay I would say. Definitely a very poor design on Oral-B’s part! We shouldn’t have to do this just to keep it clean!

Honestly, it is the brand. I got so much mould and cleaned it multiple times a day, airdried it and got gingivitis from it. Switched to a philips and never had the problem again. My partner has the same problem and at my work all these toothbrushes are filled with mould even though we clean them very well.. it’s just a bad design😅

I remove the head after each use, rinse it, shake it off on a towel and then blow water out of the holes, followed by using a qtip to clean the inside of it. So far, no mold. But I should not have to go through this much work for a toothbrush head. I love the toothbrush itself, but this is 100% a design flaw and Oral B needs to do better.

this is hard to explain but you have to rinse it out after every use, hold it so the opening is exposed and aggressively shake and flick it widely to get every bit of water out of it and then let it air dry… I’m not explaining it the best but hopefully you understand 😭

I rinse with peroxide and let it bubble for about 30 sec, then rinse with hot water before I use it every time. Dunno if it helps but it makes me feel better lol
