I think I might start doing random family game nights featuring US and world maps. “Whoever gets the most right gets the $ prize”. Similar to “Chandlers dumb states game” in FRIENDS. My kids are motivated by money and I refuse to release my kids out in the wild on their own and not have SOME awareness.

Parents need to talk to their kids about current events and the news things like what is illegal, about the criminal courts, jury duty, death row, etc. Kids should be doing arts and crafts at home starting when they’re one year old. But everybody’s just looking at entertainment on screens nowadays…
