Just made a chocolate custard tsrt! My custard came out AMAZING my crust. Did not. Is there a better way to tent the tart so it doesn't get as much humidity? Or should my filling cover the edges completely?

this has nothing to do with this recipe… but do you have any tips to avoid the meringue weeping sugar syrup/sugar when baking a lemon meringue? i have 2 theories, im not letting the lemon tart cool enough before putting the meringue on and the second being taking the baked meringue tart out of the oven too quickly without letting it cool😭 i make a lemon meringue for my mum all the time as it’s her favourite but 75% of the time the meringue weeps and soaks everything which nobody is aware of but it REALLY irks me
