@remi.n.bean: I mean, make it make sense, if there’s a kid that is struggling with the concepts of realizing what is wrong with him smashing a cat on the ground, what is smashing his PS5 gonna do? He needs literal mental help for creating this meaner bigger kid because he’s gonna be meaner out of spite.
i love u moot but tbh this is a bad take…he definitely needs therapy but he also needed to learn a lesson by destroying something that was just as valuable to him as her cat was to her

just get rid of it kids like that are born evil even with receiving mental health and therapy he only regretted it when his personal stuff was affected he will never feel normal emotions so just get rid of it now (Yes it seems extreme but listen I grew up with a kid like him and now he's a low life who won't stop touching kids even with early intervention after what he did to me )

I appreciate this take, Child psychologists view animal cruelty in children as a serious "red flag" or warning sign, rarely about the animal itself, but rather an indicator of trauma, emotional distress, or an inability to manage impulses. It often signals that the child has witnessed or experienced abuse, or is struggling with empathy, attachment issues, or conduct disorders. DBT therapy would honestly help him VERY much! DBT helps children build skills to manage intense emotions, improve empathy, and reduce destructive behaviors. It is particularly useful for aggression. I was a child in a similar boat as him, I went through therapy and psychiatry sessions, it helped me.

no, I'd straight up disown him. No child of mine is doing something as cruel as that and it's one of the worst things you can do morally

i think u phrased it badly because pulling animals tails as a toddler isn't the same as paralyzing a cat as a child. but i get what ur saying. scaring people into behaving better doesnt work because what happens when they're not afraid anymore? like okay he had to break his expensive item. that didn't teach him anything about what it means to harm a living creature. if anything, you equated living creatures to monetary items. if your child hurts an animal intentionally that's some sick stuff and it's backwards af to think making him destroy his playstation w his bare hands is gonna make him be less violent
