150k is shocking girl… my parents payed £75k for our current house in 2022 and it didnt need half the work yours did (it was close to not liveable) and it was bought from the landlord 😭 depends on your area but this house is als ex council still got the wonky walls 🤣

I'm curious to know why you constantly refer to it as an ex council house? x

You can make a fortune on ex council! We bought ours in 2018, from a previous owner - ripped it to pieces added a summer house and made DOUBLE in 6yrs! From £176k to £350k (sold October 2025). Now onto Reno no.3 (not ex council - but wouldn’t have got here without that step!)

What you’ve done is amazing and this is some people’s dream - however the only thing I would say is if your trying to sell on after Reno done I would be careful what you post especially with the cats doing there business in places (smells soaking in to carpet/flooring/ even walls) and also no chopping board ( dents in counters ) small things I know I have seen some other things but just can’t think now aha! But the amount you put in will be decreased at value for any issues with the house, like the roofing falling off on the extension - cheap work won’t be beneficial for long term buyers as in a year time things will need replacing e.g by seeing ur videos of the bad stuff is publicising the issues with the house which will make it lose value! I hate to comment this as seems horrid as I know how much work you have put in but just an idea to help with a future move🩷love what you’ve done like I said your living someone’s dream xx

Nothing wrong with being an ex council housing tenant. I grew up in government housing in Australia. And my mum still lives there. Still have friends in those housing

I’m the same age as you with ADHD and autism , and I moved out at 17. I think it took me at least 3 years to actually start enjoying living independently, and I didn’t have the best home life at the start. You will get there, I can’t imagine how unsettled you feel, but you are doing amazingly. Don’t forget the housing market is only going to go up, the longer you take! x

Honestly you’re doing a lot more than a lot of people our age that’s a very big achievement you should be proud of yourself you’ve come a long way. I know you want to move asap but it’s a house renovation you should lower your expectations on the time you’re giving yourself to finish it. That way you can’t be let down. Try slowing down and not letting it stress you out. I can imagine it’s easy for me to say but I’ve learnt just taking me time I make less mistakes. ❤️

I remember when you were looking and you enquired about and looked at loads. This was the best available at the time and I'm fairly sure it will at the very least hold its money for now. Sometimes you have to play the long game with houses!

If you had to do it again, what would you do differently. Because we are all behind you… this is not a criticism, but I think you have said before, you have been unorganised with the way you have renovated. What would you do differently if you could start again

If you can I’d honestly recommend renting this house out to tenants and holding onto it a few years, let the housing market grow so you can make a profit
