Follow along - I share the parenting systems that actually work in our house 👇 This is the screen time system we’ve been using for years. It started because my kids would genuinely negotiate, beg, and wear me down every single school holiday, and I needed something that would hold up without me having to repeat myself every twenty minutes. Each point on the fridge = 5 minutes of screen time. They earn points through things like reading, going outside, practice, chores - whatever fits your household. In ours, they need 24 points to unlock their weekly 120 minutes. Friday movie night doesn’t count. That’s sacred. What they’re actually learning: - that effort comes before reward, - that finishing hard things is a skill, - and that waiting for something you want is worth it.
