@getupandgoweekiwachee: Two familiar fins we’re always too happy to see 🐬💙 We spotted our favorite dolphin mom and her calf on the Weeki Wachee River, a pair we’ve been seeing regularly for almost two years now! Calves stay close to their mothers for the first few years of life, learning how to breathe, travel, and hunt by staying right alongside her. You’ll often see the calf “drafting” just behind or next to mom to conserve energy while swimming! Watching them grow over time is a pretty special reminder that this river is home to so many more beings than just us! We keep our distance, stay quiet, and let them move naturally so moments like this can keep happening! Just another day on a 📍Get Up and Go Kayaking Weeki Wachee clear kayak ecotour🌊🚣♀️✨ 100% chance of adventures ahead 💦 Guide/🎥: @ravensweeney
