You’ll only glide for about 10 minutes before you lose enough speed to continue generating any kind of lift. At that point you start falling.

I didn’t become terrified of flying until I became an aircraft mechanic, now I refuse to fly unless it is an absolute 100% necessity, and even then I am very particular of which aircraft I fly on and which seat I will be sitting in.

Idk how true it is, but I heard that the most dangerous part of flying is the car ride there, your more likely to get into a car accident on the way than u are for ur plane to malfunction in any way

I’m less scared of getting on a ship than I am of getting on a plane, and the ship is way more dangerous. I know it’s not rational, but a ship or a car/bus/train being closer to the Earth’s surface makes me feel like I have more control of the situation.

Pilot here. The lift in a bra actually comes from the band wrapped around your ribcage, which provides about 80% of the support. This horizontal anchor, combined with the structural engineering of the cups and straps, works together to elevate the bust.

I just flew on a four hour flight. I picked the red eye. It was dark and I allowed my mind to believe I was in a big ass bus on the ground. So when we hit turbulence I didn’t panic. It actually worked for me. This is the first flight I’ve had in 20 years where I did not panic the whole time. Hitting some rough air over the Rocky’s was not cool but I got through it

For a lot of people it's not logical. I work in aviation and understand how they fly and how safe they are statistically. It's an irrational fear, but I picture how horrifying the rare possibility of a crash would be and that terrifies me. Pair it with a fear of heights and the feeling of "falling" during turbulence, and thus I'm anxious on flights. I take Valium to help deal with it.
