You NEED to stop trying to get it all done quickly and instead save to pay the proper price to get all this work done properly. We also have an ex council house, and we paid over £2k for downstairs carpentry alone including doorframes skirting etc. I paid the same for upstairs too. It’s taken me 3 years to get my house to where I want it but so so worth it because the jobs done right

A good carpenter will leave everything perfect he will make the skirting suit the wall he didn’t scribe his corners and on top of that that floor is no finished plus EXPANDING FOAM is not used for a glue he needs silicone or pins or even better both never be nice when it comes to your home
