You were not delusional and as a nurse for 10 years and now a pediatric nurse practitioner the nurse didn’t tell you bc it would have changed this moment and this memory for you. If you would’ve know you would have been grief stricken… crying…not fully present instead you have this beautiful memory and she had peace and comfort and loving energy

As an oncology and hospice nurse, they knew. But it’s their job to know and your job to just love Poppy and be “delusional” and supportive. If you would have known you would have acted different instead of having pure joy in the little things.

That nurse gave you a “one last time” and you didnt even know it. 💜 one last bath, one last hair brush, one last hair wash…. You weren’t delusional, none of us are given parenting manuals but from the outside looking in you were the BEST parents to that baby for loving her 💜💜💜

As a nurse, we sometimes just know. It’s hard to explain, we know what we’re looking for and most times it’s that, but sometimes we just get this GUT feeling. I bet you, she “knew”, and what beautiful memories and moments you had with her. Knowing she was so comfortable I’m sure lightens that ache, even just a little ❤️
