These remarks have been misinterpreted by many bigots and worsened security concerns, affecting all Somalis in Kenya regardless of their legal status or location. It is crucial to prepare to counter potential politically motivated efforts to displace or expel Somalis, which may be orchestrated by intolerant individuals within Kenya's systemic biases. Such efforts are often coordinated with foreign entities and religious extremists. Historically, Kenya has shown mistrust towards Somali-led enterprises and political initiatives, usually fostering divisions among ethnic groups to marginalise the Somali community further.
