The sad thing about watching romance anime is that…unintentionally…they make you dream of someone who may never arrive. They show you girls so special, so unique, that I begin to believe such people don't exist in real life... and the worst part is that, deep down, maybe it's true. I watch these anime to feel a happiness I don't have, to live through others a story that doesn't belong to me. I become attached to the characters, I laugh with them, suffer with them...but when it ends, I’m kinda just…left with that emptiness? I don’t know if that makes sense…I’m not the protagonist of that beautiful story, I’m just watching from afar what I’ve always wanted: to feel truly loved. It hurts...because those emotions that the anime evokes only remind me how much I wish I could feel them with someone real. Loneliness will consume me every time I watch each beautiful episodes of these animes.
