Be sure to remember that even if you clean everything to perfection, every single item may be a memory or trigger for your dad, and his attachments are different than yours… so while you’re having patience, also try hard to see how he feels and maybe even find ways to help him unpack his emotions.

Maybe it helps, if you tell him Underware is supposed to be completely switched every 6 months ( yes, my jaw also dropped, bc of expensive brahs & lingerie😅), but it’s actual a recommendation for hygienic reasons

Hey Jose! Also let your dad know that if something doesn’t fit him, but wants to keep it in the family, let it be something sentimental in different parts of the family! For instance, if your dad doesn’t want get rid of a jacket outside of the family, he could give it to you or another family member.
