Not being mean. But people actually do this? Was in the Marines for 15 years and no one did this. Let alone me and my husband both deployed and never did this. I assumed it was more of an army thing.

Unless you’re on a base, I would not do this. This is letting the wrong ppl that your service member is gone. If you go to any of the family readiness meetings they will tell you not to do this
