I've seen both series,technically three if we're counting abridged hellsing 😂, and i agree seras hand down,no argument. selene is good in the first movie but as the series dragged on,she became more meh. they made her way over powered way too fast and the story kinda sucked.

sera is a second gen vampire couse she was given her power directly from the original (alucard) while all the other vampires in the show are severely diluted in power, like didnt sera beat up a guy by flicking him repeatedly
