a lot of kids take this personally not even realizing its largely their safety 😭 like they r in a discord where everyone assumes ur 16 or over because of the rules so its even more concerning and hurtful to the community members who prob didnt know they were 9 when they joined 😭 just saw some dad get mad their "sons" bsky account got deleted...his son was 9 😬 like breaks tos even 💔

I was forced to be someone’s admin when their other ones left and I found out that they let someone stay in their server for years after finding out they were under the discord TOS, and just told them not to tell anyone their age

I’m glad that you have this rule because I remember being 12, 13, 14, etc online back in the day ( early 2000s ) and had to learn how to lie about my age early on because I’d be asked my age on sites and such by other members and then certain people would start acting hella weird and 8 times out of 10 the staff wouldn’t do anything and the other two times I’d be the one getting the ban. I didn’t understand why at the time. As an adult, I get it. I am a staunch advocate for banning certain ages and heavy age verification now.
