Play rough with him. Carry him like a baby. Treat him like a dog. Trust me. You’ll end up with a cat who is absolutely fearless and a ridiculous amount of fun. My husband desensitizes all of our cats by playing with them like a toddler would and they are the most loving, fearless, sassy cats when they grow up.

talk to them, not like baby talk, but normal talk. i started doing this with my cat and she has been more vocal and cuddly, also say good morning to them first in the morning. cats like being seen in an odd way lol
