The forgiveness of Allah is among His greatest and most beautiful attributes. He is Al-Ghafūr (The Oft-Forgiving) and Ar-Raḥīm (The Most Merciful). In Islam, no sin is too great to be forgiven if a person sincerely turns back to Him in repentance (tawbah). Despairing of Allah’s mercy is discouraged, because His mercy encompasses all things. The door of repentance remains open as long as a person sincerely seeks it with humility, regret, and the intention not to return to the sin. Evidence from the Qur’an 📖 Surah Az-Zumar (39:53) Translation: “Say, ‘O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.’” Translation: “And whoever does a wrong or wrongs himself but then seeks forgiveness of Allah will find Allah Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” Translation: “Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we forget or make a mistake.” True repentance in Islam includes: sincere regret for the sin, immediately stopping the wrongdoing, firm intention not to return to it, and—if the sin involves the rights of others—restoring those rights or seeking their forgiveness. Allah’s forgiveness is not merely the erasure of sin; it is a renewal of hope, a purification of the heart, and an opportunity to begin again. No matter how far one may feel from Him, a single sincere step back toward Allah is met with divine mercy beyond measure. #foryou
