Good explanation. Voltage measure across because the voltage develops across the load. Current you break into the positive power wire because current flows through the conductor.

Finally, someone showed me how to use one after owning one I bought brand new 4 years ago and never used it. The videos were always showing me diagrams that my multimeter never had on them!! Thank You!!!!!
