I used to be deeply religious but then Allah granted me a blessing I had spent a lifetime wishing for. In my overwhelming happiness, I grew complacent. I let my gratitude slip and soon, I was constantly skipping my prayers. In a heartbeat, He took it all away. For months, a heavy depression consumed me. The pain was so agonizing that a bitter thought began to take root: Allah was never actually with me but one night the sorrow became TOO heavy to bear. In absolute desperation, I fell to my knees, weeping and begging Allah for mercy. I poured my entire broken soul into that prayer. I swear on everything when I woke up the next morning the weight was entirely gone. A strange unexplainable peace had washed over me overnight. To this day, I still don't understand how it happened so fast . I just know I was healed.
