Since you’ve been in the business for 25 years, were you of the thought process that low fat foods were the way to go for heart health.

I thought I read that recent euro studies showed that LDL under 50 leads to some plaque regression. Hence the recommendation for statins to get below 50. No?

Ok so to remove plaque we have to somehow remove the individual components fibrin, fat & calcium at the same time since they are attached to one another at a molecular level?.

Are you saying that a decrease in plaque volume doesn't improve volume flow?

I might be wrong but isn’t there 2 types of plaque? The hard plaque that is permanent and soft plaque that can be reduced. Maybe I was misinformed.

Col. Tom V Flying Farmer :
I’ve seen some studies that showed very weak evidence of a 1% reduction in soft plaque, I think the most over looked potential for lowering a restriction is reducing inflammation. That could make it appear as a reduction because of the minute increase in the diameter of the inside of the artery. That’s an amateur guess, I’m no doctor.
