I was diagnosed with treatment resistant depression after a good 20 or so years of things not improving. January was diagnosed with adhd after a referral from a new gp looked at me with a fresh pair of eyes and noticed that it was actually my feelings of failing to be a functional human that made me feel depressed rather than depression making me struggle to function. (Honestly I’m a pretty experienced therapist and totally failed to connect those dots myself haha!) I started methylphenidate, functioning improved and like magic I now really love life and my mood has never been better. (Even after pretty horrid bereavement and catalogue of awful events my mood has stayed stable (aside from normal griefy feelings). (Not saying that it’s a magic cure for everyone by any means, but definitely shows how important the right diagnosis is, and also what a huge difference a curious gp can make to someone’s life!)

As someone with EUPD, I hate the diagnosis name. Wish someone had named it something else 🥲❤️. What do you mean my personality is disordered along with my mood, my relationships, my stability, my safety, my job, my hobbies etc. p.s thank you for your videos and normalising these conversations x

thank you for your kind words about how upsetting it feels to be diagnosed with a personality disorder. i know it was in passing, but i appreciate when dr’s can acknowledge the stigma we put onto PD patients. i was 18 when i was diagnosed and it was something that made me feel so abnormal and broken

I guess i have TRD going by the definition but i don't think any of my doctors ever used the term, but i tried 4 different antidepressants (SSRIs and a NDRI) and tDCS over the course of like 10yrs before getting put on 15 mg vortioxetine, it definetely has been the most effective one for me but it is a bit of a balancing act with the nausea 😅

I was told I had treatment resistant depression and put on mirtazapine, venlaflaxine and Quetiapine at the same time. But they hadn’t tried psychotherapy and when I finally got to try the right type of therapy, it helped! I feel like therapy gets forgotten when it’s an important part of treatment for depression

I've been on California Rocket Fuel for nearly a year and I won't lie, the main upside for me has been getting to the say the name a lot. I can't say I've noticed much difference other than stronger side effects from both meds. Hoping ECT or even medical (es)ketamine might be more helpful, if it comes to that

I was on a medical trial with pramipexole (the Pax-D trial) to treat treatment resistant depression. it worked really well

I have eupd anxiety depression and ptsd I was taking the rocket fuel but this made me feel like i was drunk the next morning but I drive as a district nurse so had change meds x

I have heard of it. I tried Venlafaxine. it made my mind feel much better, but the side effects were awful for me.

Currently on cali rocket fuel I feel like my brain is just going way too fast and I’m bouncing around like a child then I crash back in to depressive episode 🙃🙃

I'm diagnosed EUPD and GAD with depression that's never been helped by medicine that I've had offered. I think the dx is only partly correct - I'm now fairly sure that I'm living also with some neuro diversity (potentially). I've had serious mh issues for 40 years. In my area they have closed the waiting list (due to demand). I'll try anything now. Anything... ...

i was “mistakenly” diagnosed with depression but it turned out to be OCD. However, the prescribed treatments, antidepressants and CBT, are also the treatment for OCD, so they worked fantastically! I ❤️Sertraline (except that it made me fat)
