Professionals are trained and developed to give advice doesn’t necessarily mean they are directly trained to execute on it themselves. Plenty of GPs that aren’t the pinnacle of help but that are more than equip to give great advice to others. Advice and execution are 2 seperate skills

I changed career paths 4 years ago. Spent all of my wealth (outside of super) to support myself through this process, starting on $48k as a part time paraplanner. The suggestion that I should have any real wealth accumulated after 2 degrees and taking an enormous pay cut to enter the industry is absurd.

Yep agree! They don’t necessarily need to be at the end of the journey but they can be on the journey as well which helps share lived experience. Also you are getting the education that the advisor has on wealth holistically not just in one area
