Healing is accepting that grief hits in waves. Sometimes a random song, the scent of a stranger, or the way the sun hits water just right will remind you of them and the memories flood your brain, and for a brief moment they are with you, just in a different form.

It’s tough. Both gone 12 and 19. 24 now lied to everyone about it maybe told 9 people max. Didn’t want anyone to know( lied when people asked about them to everyone). Told my girlfriend a couple months ago I’ve know her for 10 months. I didn’t want anyone to know. now my business which felt stuck for 4 years since then. Is now going to get its first 200K year. I was always in the 60-78K range. I felt like I proved myself enough to tell people the truth and confidence in myself. But its interesting

Had to do a persuasive speech in college. Submitted my draft to my teacher, it was about being mindful about your body and keeping yourself healthy. He thought I would have difficulty persuading. He encouraged me to regroup and come back with a new idea. I was persistent that I could be convincing. I stuck with my speech. Presented it to the class- detailing how my dad didn’t take care of himself well due to finances when he was younger and a single parent. At the time of the speech he was better off, starting to care for himself, but the permanent damage was done. I encouraged the class to prioritize their health over every one else…my closing line was…I would have rather went to bed hungry, instead of knowing I was going to lose my dad at a young age. Fast forward 8 years later, my dad passed. I was only 27. I hope I made an impact with my speech. I got an A and my teacher presented it to the board because he was so impressed with how stubborn I was, and how I proved I could convince the class.
