CLEARLY. If the final events didn't happen, they would be so distrusting and traumatized. At most, Avery is dependent and attached while Derlord is recovering and distrusting. They can't be there for eachother, and if they were to slowly grow and become healthy, Derlord and Avery would still probably have fits of distrust, fear, and trauma. It bonds them but pulls them apart at the same time.

oh I can imagine the distrust and codependency in this ship, but will that stop me, not really because no relationship is truly perfect and theres room for growth and development, but this is just want to see how the dynamic will play out if the possibility happened.

You’re right but they’d only be healthy if they never went through the events especially with D3rlord3 lying so often, not fully trusting Avery, and like some of the fandom does too, Avery thinks of himself lesser than d3rlord3

Oh 100%, they would have to work on themselves in order for it be a functioning relationship. they’d both have serious codependency issues but I think their love for each other would make them want to work so they could last
