I have so many questions…maybe you could do a video reply if that’s easier…1) how long after the breakup did you send this message? 2) did he try reaching out to you before this or did he stay no contact (if yes to no contact, how long were you no contact) 3) did you breadcrumb him at all prior to this with any “hey” or “happy birthday” type messages? How do you recommend avoiding becoming avoidant yourself after being discarded? It’s been 8 months and I’m still broken. I don’t see love the same way I used to. I don’t walk through life the same way or relate to people the same way. The discard fundamentally changed me and messed me up bad… she passed the same trauma she got from someone else onto me. I was so gung ho about love and dating, and now I’m terrified to let someone in again. I feel myself becoming avoidant because of her and I’m actively fighting myself to not go down that path. I was bright eyed and bushy tailed, and excited for life and love before and with her… now I’m just so scared and I can’t love anyone new. I’m scared to love someone that’s not her. I’m still scared to lose her but she’s been lost to me three times now since I met her a year ago. It doesn’t help that she’s the first person I actually let myself fall in love with. 😔 My heart has so much love to give. I have such an abundance of love and can’t imagine never loving or being loved again, but something inside me was destroyed in the heartbreak.

My FA sent something really similar, but when I replied, he wrote that he miss me, but he doesnt’t want to make hope for me. He just want to be „normal” without responsibility and he didn’t want repair out relationship, that broke my heart again… 🥺 but I’m happy you are healing and that you both wanted choosing each othar again! ❤️
