It looks good but I’m afraid the movie will have the vibe of a random zombie spec script that got labeled Resident Evil just for marketing purposes. I like that they tried to do their own thing but I’m not sure if it’ll deviate so much from the original franchise to the point of basically have nothing to do with it

i will say just because leon isn’t in it doesn’t mean this is just a regular zombie movie labeled as RE. like literally it takes place in raccoon city i think it looks awesome

Unfortunately ppl can’t handle a different story set in the same world/universe as a game. Halo tv series was really good but ppl couldn’t get over how it wasn’t the exact story told in the games. It was just within the same universe, but a new original story being told. Gamers had a fit. I have a feeling it’ll be the same with this movie if the storyline is told within the same world but not the same story as in the games

This movie is said to draw inspiration from the games (2, 3, & 4). The director has made Barbarian and Weapons, so I trust this movie will be good. It doesn’t have to be a direct adaptation of stories & characters we’ve seen before. I’m excited because it looks like it’ll pay homage to those stories.

I think we got a lot of upset RE fans who don’t know Zach Cregger’s game. He doesn’t give a lot away in the trailers. Y’all just gonna have to wait for the movie to see what it’s actually all about.

I just hope he adds links to umbrella into the film. What I've heard him say this is supposed to be a story that takes place at the same time as RE1/ RE2, just elsewhere in the city. otherwise it'll just be world war z where they just use the popular name
