I’m just trying to figure out how to make American money outside of America. Once I figure that out I’m outta here. And yes I know there are remote jobs blah blah blah but I don’t have a degree. I am 43 and have only worked in as an admin in healthcare and you can’t really do healthcare remotely outside of the U.S. because of HIPAA. I basically have to start from scratch which is hard to do when you’re in your 40’s mostly because I’m tired and don’t have the energy to start over?! 😭

Yep. My parents were able to buy a house, 2 cars and go on vacations with just regular jobs back in the 80s. That doesnt apply anymore.

Didn’t know I’d be in this situation in 2026 trying to figure out why I should continue working when i can’t get paid for march and April as an independent contractor.
