The US has a population of about 349 million, while China has around 1.4 billion (4X the US). Their energy needs are of gargantuan proportions compared to the United States. Despite this challenge, China is steadily reducing their dependence on coal, and are currently the world leader in renewable energy. Currently, China produces around 10.3 terawatts of power from renewables every day, which is almost enough to cover the daily usage of the entire United States (11.5 terawatts). If the US invested in their infrastructure instead of stupid wars and tax breaks for billionaires, they would be able to enjoy cheap energy today. In 2015, about 70% if China's electricity was produced with coal. Today, it's around 58%, a number that is rapidly decreasing. People knocking down China because of their coal usage fail to realize the giant strides they have made to fix the problem, and better the lives of their citizens. Tell me, how has the US bettered your lives in the last 10 years?

The real main reason why there are so many electric cars in China: Most cars you see in big cities are Uber cars, and electric means cheaper, because of low labor costs in China, Uber drivers can’t survive driving gas cars.
