with a student loan, it's only like £2.8k take home pay. depending how central you live, you could easily spend £1-1.5k just on rent unless you flat share. if you have aspirations to buy your own place, you need more. £60-70k minimum to be comfortable as a single person.

Im earning around 40k (after tax) and im good for now, problem is renting are so expensive, some people must renting house and sharing an equipments (mainly kitchenware). When i was living in countryside few years ago my rent wasnt over £800 for 2 bedroom flat house
