@c5news: Three teens who lured a man they thought was a paedophile to the beach and killed him have been jailed today for between five and seven years. A 16-year-old girl, and two boys, aged 15 and 16, were convicted of manslaughter over the death of Alexander Cashford in February. The teens attacked the 49-year-old with rocks and bottles in Leysdown-on-Sea, on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, on 10 August 2025. The attack, which occurred after Alexander met the girl at an arcade and the pair exchanged text messages, was filmed on a mobile phone. The girl and the oldest boy were jailed today for seven years, and the younger boy, received a five-year sentence. The trio will serve half their sentences in custody, with the rest on licence. The judge said she had no option but to impose a custodial sentence and that the five minutes the deceased tried to escape the teenagers must have been "terrifying".
