Authorities tracked him to a remote cabin in El Mirador— but this wasn’t a simple operation. The location was heavily fortified. Around 30 pickup trucks. More than 60 armed men forming a perimeter. As forces closed in, Flores’ security detail attempted to create a diversion, scattering in multiple directions to slow the operation. But it didn’t work. Flores was eventually located trying to hide in a drainage ditch near the property. He was taken into custody without reports of prolonged firefights at the scene.
