I used to be against coffee dates, because they are low effort. But there’s nothing worse than being stuck at dinner or drinks for several hours with someone you’re not interested in. With coffee, you can spend as little or as long ad you want with the person. 😅

Louder! People think investing is always about money, but it’s mostly about effort. I met a guy on Bumble who prepared a whole picnic for our first date: homemade waffles, three different spreads (just in case I had a nut allergy!), fresh and dried fruits, veggies, and two types of homemade lemonade. Did it work out? No. Was it the simplest yet the best date I’ve ever had? Hell yes✨ It’s all about the effort and not being ashamed of being romantic! Coffee dates are trash because they’re just low effort, you don't even need a reservation, so there’s zero investment or planning involved! Low effort means low respect!

If you meet someone online, coffee/boba/dessert/drinks (also not everyone drinks btw) are fine for first date. If you already knew them before it would be different. After reading this comment section, I think the biggest mistake is making assumptions and taking all dating advice from social media lmao

Exactly😭😭 Like I don’t feel like putting on my cutest outfit and do all everything shower for a busy and loud coffee shop is a vibe. If we’re looking for romance the ground for romance needs to be right for it to grow. You need a nice and well nourished soil, not cold and hard concrete.

Exactly. It’s so low effort. I’ve never gone on a coffee date that actually led to a 2nd date because they’re always so brief and boring. For ppl saying they don’t want to waste time having dinner with someone they may not vibe with, I highly recommend having a phone convo before meeting. You will see if you vibe just by chatting and it’ll save you plenty of first/last dates

I NEVER go on coffee dates. If I’m going to get ready and invest time to get ready, I’ll go to brunch or dinner. I have to have an attraction for the guy. If I have no attraction I don’t even entertain the opportunity of a date.
