Better way…take both ends of the cord then do just what you did and when you get to the end you can wrap it around the cord then take your end loop put it thru the loop so you got a handle or you can hang it on the wall..basically same thing you did just start with both ends

pro tip: get a 5 gallon bucket, cut a hole on the side near the bottom, put the wall plug side of the cord inside the hole and pull it out about a 1-2 foot and with the remaining cable wrap it up in the bucket. now when you need a cable just pull out what you need. I love this trick, especially if you got a really long extension cord

Another tip: hold both end in your hand and follow the same principle but don’t twist. Let it wrap in a figure 8. This way what you unwrap you don’t get any curly Qs

I use a 5 gallon bucket. Put the bucket upside down and put the end of the cord in the handle. Wrap the cord around the bucket till you get to the end. Then turn the bucket over and slide it off. It’s perfect every time. Then I put a couple zip ties to hold the ends!
